Crawl Space Repair Before & After Photos

This homeowner in Wareham, MA started to smell something bad coming from her crawlspace. This was an unpleasant surprise for her, so she called DryZone Basement Systems to see what could be done about this issue. An inspector was sent to the crawlspace for examination, and he concluded that an encapsulation of CleanSpace vapor barrier would benefit her and the crawlspace immensely. So a crew was sent to encapsulate the area with CleanSpace, providing a polyethylene layer of protection from moisture, rot and pests from entering! Now that the issue of moisture and a musty smell are gone, this homeowner can live with a peace of mind now! 

The home owner in Scituate, Massachusetts was moving in to the property soon but wanted the crawl space to be inspected by DryZone Basement Systems. Our system design specialist Derek Rice went to the property and found old, hanging insulation along with other issues like moisture and damp areas. We were able to come up with a solution to solve the pour insulation problem and dampness which consisted of a vapor barrier lining, spray foam insulation, dehumidifier and a sump pump. 

This crawlspace in Scituate, MA was very wet! The fiberglass insulation was soaked through and through, it looked like melted cotton candy on the crawlspace floor. The existing vapor barrier did nothing to improve the condition in the crawlspace. We removed all the debris from the crawlspace and wrapped it with a 20 mil vapor barrier called CleanSpace. We wrapped the piers and sprayed foam insulation in the rim joists. The difference is night and day!

This crawlspace was riddled with mold and water. The soaking wet fiberglass insulation was falling from the rim joists. DryZone came to this Sciutuate, MA property and installed a TripleSafe sump pump system to control the ground water, drainage matting, CleanSpace vapor barrier and spray foam insulation. What a noticeable difference!

The owners of this basement in Scituate, MA were tired of having a damp and useless area that they could not seem to fix, or at least they thought. Teamed up with the TripleSafe sump pump, for three pumps worth of security, and the final touch of our Rim Joist insulation, water didn’t stand a chance again the equipment installed in this basement.
