This unique little crawlspace located in Florence, MA was a rare and interesting project for DryZone to work on! Typically, we need at least 18 inches of clearance within the inside of a crawlspace from ground to joist in order to have one of our inspectors gain access inside the crawlspace to perform a thorough evaluation. In this case, the issues in the crawlspace with moisture and mold had become so bad - the homeowner had to rip up the floor on the main level of their home above the crawlspace in order to keep it from getting worse.
Once our team heard that the flooring on the main level of the home had been removed, we knew timing was important and addressing the crawlspace was an important step towards being able to refinish their living space! Our inspector, Craig, evaluated and took the proper measurements for this crawlspace, and our installation team had the unique opportunity and experience to encapsulate a crawlspace that was exposed from above. No climbing in through access points with creepy-crawlies, but lots of natural light and a quick day for our installation team to get in, encapsulate, and clean up. Our CleanSpace vapor barrier system will help protect against moisture build up, mildew and mold for this homeowner, so they should never have to worry about tearing up their living space again!
