They laid down drainage matting over the dirt floor of the crawl space to allow any water to flow under and out of the space. Then they insulated the space with our SilverGlo wall insulation and TerraBlock floor insulation which regulate temperature and neither will deteriorate over time. This pump is combined with another pump and goes in the liner if the power goes out or the pump can’t keep up with the water then the backup pump will kick on and help combat the water intake. One of the products used was Waterguard, a drainage system that collects water while under the floor’s surface and is connected to the sump pump. By having the system under the floor, it can catch water from the seam and also is almost invisible to the homeowner, a definite plus to this system.
