Jackhammering
Starting to break up the floor where the sump pump will go
Big Hole
Starting to look more like a sump pit.. it all starts with a hole.
Coring through the foundation
Co-Foreman, Rene, cores through the foundation to run the discharge through
Coring for Ice Guards
This is where the IceGuards will be installed
Exterior Discharge
The two pipes that are sticking out of the foundation are where the water will discharge from the home. First, and IceGuard will be placed on each of those pipes which will connect to the larger pipes to discharge away from the home.
Close up
A close up of the pipes in the foundation
Interior discharge
Those 2 pipes on the wall? Those are the pipes that are sticking out on the foundation outside. They will be connected by PVC pipes to the sump pump and it will carry the water outside
Dropping Liners
We drop the TripleSafe liner into the hole which will then be surrounded by crushed stone for better filtration.
Birds Eye View
This view from above shows the top of the liner and lid.
Pumps
One of the pumps that make up our three pump TripleSafe sump pump system
Dropping the Pumps in
After the liner is installed, it is time to position the pumps within the liner. The foreman, Ricky, places all three pumps inside and attaches the PVC pipes from the liner to the exterior discharge that was cored out earlier.
More pumps!
When the lid is off you can see all the pumps positioned within the liner
Flood testing
Before we leave the home, we make sure to flood test the pumps. This means we simply flood the liner with a hose to ensure the pumps are working properly, engage when there is water in the liner and also to make sure there are no leaks anywhere in the system
Flood and Battery Testing
We also test the battery back up to make sure it has a full charge
Twin IceGuards
The connection between the interior discharge and the exterior discharge
The End of the Line
The LawnScape outlet is attached to the end of the discharge line and is partially buried underground. It blends in nicely with the grass so there's no PVC piping causing an eye sore in your yard!
