Old Sump Pump System Renovated in Bridgewater, MA
Challenge
A customer in Bridgewater, MA was the owner of this partially finished basement. It did have a sump pump system, but there was no proper drainage system. He told the appointment center he was still seeing water remain in his basement after rainstorms, so he knew he needed an upgrade. The inspector came to the house and assessed the situation closely, he found that the sump pit of the current system was too small, which meant water was filling it up at a faster rate, causing the sump pump to over work itself. Then the obvious issue being pointed out, the lack of a drainage system. In this basement, not all the water was getting to the sump pump, so there were several puddles just laying there.
Solution
After diagnosing the problem, the inspector knew the exact products to use to turn this basement around! To begin, the homeowner needed a better sump pump system that won't continuously run. So the TripleSafe sump pump was installed to replace the old system. It comes in a bigger sump pit so it can hold more water, has more pumping power and comes with a backup pump in case the house loses power. Then, we installed a full perimeter drainage system called our WaterGuard which will ensure that the seepage DOES reach the sump pump.
