Puddles In Basement, Whiteman, MA
Challenge
A common issue we hear as a waterproofing company is the amount of time homeowners see puddles lurking around in their foundation. Any area with puddles can be damp, which is the perfect situation for mold to grow into. When mold begins to grow in humid, damp areas like this one, it can begin to cause allergies and structural damage! Any damage to the support work that keeps the basement up can be at risk of collapsing, so it was our job to make sure this home in Whitman, MA got rid of the puddle issue to avoid these costly damages.
Solution
We sent over an inspector to diagnose the issue and write up a way to solve the problem at hand. In the plan, our we installed a TripleSafe sump pump in the corner that was the basement's low point. From there, they wrapped up that same corner that had a large opening that was allowing some water and moisture seepage in. We used CleanSpace to cover the corner because of it's durability and strength to keep the moisture out. This sump pump is going to make sure the basement stays bone-dry during rain storms and power outages since it also comes with a backup pump!
