Clogged Sump Pump in Scituate, MA
Challenge
A customer living in Scituate, MA called in and was annoyed with his current sump pump. It wasn't working like it used to when he first got the system installed. Curious, he called us because he wanted a professional eye to take a look. When sump pumps aren't working properly, there are many factors to take in place such as a clogged system, broken float switch or simply a power outage (if there isn't a battery backup pump already). Moments like these can be stressful for homeowners, but that's why we are here!
The call center heard what the customer had to say, then booked a day for one of our service technician to evaluate the sump pump to come up with the best solution.
Solution
After the inspection, the service technician informed the customer that his sump pump was clogged up from all the debris and rubble that got into his sump pit. The main reason for this was because the sump pit had no lid, so almost anything in the basement could get in and clog everything up. So the service member suggested to install a TripleSafe sump pump for the next appointment, and the homeowner agreed.
Upon the day of the installation, the the service technician jackhammered a whole new sump pit for the TripleSafe sump pump, that comes with a lid! Not only that, it provides even more pumping power due to the three pumps inside, one of them being a battery backup one! The homeowner was excited to see a fresh, new sump pump saving his basement from future rains!
