New Homeowner in Milton, MA Gets a New Pump

This basement in Milton, MA was relying on an estimated 30-year-old pump to keep water out. After a wet week of rain and a power outage, the pump had to work extra hard to get an inch of water off the floor after the power was finally restored. Without a strong pump and a battery to keep that pump running, another heavy rainfall would for sure flood that basement again. That wasn’t going to work for this homeowner and they knew they had to give DryZone a call to see what they could do to prevent this from happening again.

Solution

DryZone was ready to take on this basement once we got the call! We knew this basement needed a new pump, which we could conveniently install where the old one was, and our SuperSump sump pump would be a perfect replacement. Also, our pumps come with WaterWatch sump pump alarms so if in the chance that the water gets too much for the pump, an alarm will sound and the customer can react to the situation.

The customer made it clear they wanted some sort of battery so in case of another power outage the pump would still work hard to keep the basement dry. Our UltraSump battery back-up was exactly what they were looking for and we added it to the sump pump for some peace of mind for the customer, exactly what they were looking for!

To complete this basement, a SaniDry Sedona dehumidifier was installed and draining into the sump, which means no manually emptying buckets of water every day! Ducts were added so air could ventilate to other rooms in the basement and keep the moisture out of the whole basement. Our customer was so happy with the results and the convenience of all the products.
