Paul in Glendale, RI took a look in his crawlspace and did not like what he saw, there was falling insulation, dirt and debris everywhere! Who knows what was hiding down there: moisture or possibly critters? After remembering a commercial he saw on tv not too long ago, Paul called us looking for some possible assistance cleaning up and waterproofing his space. We were able to offer him an inspection where we could get into the crawl and go over what would be best to get it to where he wanted. He liked what he heard and loved it even more once the installation was finished! The crew took out all the old insulation and cleaned the space before adding TerraBlock insulation with a layer of CleanSpace vapor barrier over to encapsulate it. The was then sealed in with Rim Joist spray insulation and finished off with a SmartSump for any water that may find its way in. Paul was so thrilled and only regret was that he didn’t do it sooner.

Jeannette purchased her home in Chepachet, RI after we had installed a waterproofing system in her basement. The promise of a dry basement was one of the reasons she purchased her home. A month before her system was due for annual maintenance DryZone sent a postcard to the property educating the new homeowner of the value of having a system like this serviced annually. After speaking with our service department in the office she agreed to have a technician come out to further explain the system that she knew nothing about and to have us make sure everything was in working order. By having us out to the property, Jeannette is confident that she made the right decision in purchasing this home. She continues to maintain her sump pump every year and always expresses how happy she is that she fell into the lap of a company that is courteous, professional, honest and always on time!
The customer in Riverside, Rhode Island was looking forward to solving the water and moisture problems that had been an issue for years. After meeting with Patrick Cahill, system design specialist they came up with a solution.
Patrick suggested a perimeter drain system called WaterGuard to install in the basement. This will guide the ground water towards the SuperSump sump pump system. Along with installation of the CleanSpace vapor barrier the home will be more comfortable from the basement all the way to the top floor. The proposal also includes a SaniDry dehumidification system which is a self draining and efficient dehumidifier.
Georgia and Cesar contacted DryZone in December 2013 because the water in the basement was not making it to the sump pump. They had an existing pump in the corner of the basement which is a nice precaution but when it rained the basement would leak everywhere but where the sump was! Georgia gave us a call to set up their free assessment. After many calls and emails with our company, they opted to replace their existing system with the SuperSump 1/2 horsepower pump and enough WaterGuard around the perimeter to stop the water. They loved the work completed by DryZone but about a year later, at their annual maintenance appointment, our technician noticed the water was now coming in the areas we did not put the WaterGuard in! Cesar and Georgia were so thrilled we found the problem before it damaged any of their belongings. We added onto the system as well as adding the UltraSump battery back up. Georgia and Cesar have not had a single drop of water in their basement since then. We were happy to help them out and they are happy they called DryZone.
Holly and Michael contacted several companies for quotes on waterproofing their basement. They have a son, Isaac, who was growing into a crazy little boy. Running all over the house with no where to go. Holly and Michael would love to finish their basement one day but knew that without taking care of the water and moisture in the basement it would never be a truly livable space. We were the third company to give them a quote (after already signing a contract with another company). After seeing our WaterGuard system, they were sold! The homeowners knew this would take care of their problem in the basement once and for all. The cancelled the job with the other company and we got right to work, installing a full perimeter WaterGuard system with water being directed to our SuperSump system. It has been about four years since their initial waterproofing job was performed and they have remained dry! Holly and Michael are excited to finish the basement in the future so Isaac can have a space of his own to run around and play safely. A win-win for everyone!
In 2010, New England experienced a once in a lifetime flooding disaster that created water problems for many people. Ralph, in Smithfield, RI was no exception. His basement had never seen a drop of water until those floods.
After a year of mopping up his basement after every rainstorm, Ralph gave DryZone a call. He was adamant that he only wanted a sump pump. His inspector, Pat Cahill, explained the concept of hydrostatic pressure and even if the water was only presenting itself in one spot right now, it will likely come in somewhere else in the future.
DryZone installed a SuperSump pumping system with a partial perimeter system. The WaterGuard carries the water that enters along the floor and wall joint to the sump pump which is tied into his existing discharge. It has been 6 years since we did his installation and he has not had a drop of water since!
Kevin in Greenville had his system installed in 2011. He has a SuperSump sump pump and the UltraSump battery backup. During a routine annual maintenance, our service technician, James Boughner, removed the pump from the liner and scrubbed down all the sides of the liner and removed some of the small debris that had collected in the bottom. He checked the pump switch for any defects and replaced the 9-volt battery in the WaterWatch alarm. He tested the backup, which passed. James then floods tested the system without any issues. He inspected and cleaned all valves, parts and breather holes and the impeller. Given the age of the battery backup at this check-up, James recommended replacing the UltraSump within the next year or two but he also recommended a SaniDry XP to control basement humidity and moisture.
Kevin took James recommendation and he installed it that day! Kevin was very happy with his decision to continue having annual maintenance performed on his system and he is thrilled with his new piece of this system.
The existing sump in this Pascoag, RI home was in need of an upgrade after it couldn’t hold up to the water coming into the basement. When we met with homeowners, Michelle and her husband, she told us how she wanted a pump solution that would require low maintenance for her since she in now the full-time caretaker of their home due to her husband’s health. We assured her the ease and reliability of our TripleSafe sump pump and that any maintenance would be from our service department for annuals that she could schedule. They were both happy with the products and install, not to mention the price of their system was a pleasant surprise to them! Now neither of them have to worry if the next rain means a flooding basement and can enjoy their home with peace of mind!
In this particularly wet corner of the basement in a Mapleville, RI home, every time it rained there was leaking water and the owners needed a fix. One of our suggestions was a sump pump in that corner which would collect the water, but only from that spot or what water would make it to that spot. We always recommend a full perimeter drainage system but we understand some basements might not need the whole deal, this one only really needed a SuperSump which we added an UltraSump battery backup to in case of power outages, a pump would still be able to run.
In Manville, RI this basement was flooding after big rains, the home owners would be up all night during storms vacuuming up the water with a shop vac to make sure it didn't find its way into other rooms. After dealing with that too many time, the owners decided to make a change and get the help of professionals. We were able to install a SuperSump system to pump out that water finding its way in so they could sleep peacefully at night knowing their basement would stay dry without them having to vacuum the water out.

A musty smell was taking over the room about this crawlspace in Central Falls, RI. Our solution was to encapsulate the crawlspace, creating a seal to keep moisture out and away from the organic materials of the house. Our CleanSpace creates a vapor barrier to do just that while keeping pests out as well, cutting down musty smells. To really combat the smells, we’d recommend adding a dehumidifier as well.

Our SaniDry dehumidifier is capable of being ducted, so the unit can be hidden in one room while working in there while also being ducted to the other room but staying out of site. Ducting the unit is a great option for those with finished basements that don’t want to sacrifice space or have the unit visible.
A basement in Albion, RI was seeing some cracks on the wall of their foundation and after heavy rains saw that water was leaking in through them. With wall cracks we have our trusty FlexiSpan system that works by filling the crack with a polyurethane polymer that creates a durable and flexible seal.
