The floor above this homeowner's house in Hopedale, MA was unstable from all of the supporting wood under it rotting. The crawl space under the floor was very humid, resulting in mold spores growing onto the wood, eventually weakening it. This crawl space needed a mighty support system and a reliable vapor barrier and we were able to deliver.
We installed SmartJacks under the weak support beam to permanently stabilize and raise the floor back to place. If any future adjustments need to be made, we can tweak it in the future if need be. To make sure the crawl space never feels humid again, we fully encapsulated the floor with CleanSpace vapor barrier to prevent water vapor from coming through. Now, the floor is stabilized and the air is more dry!
