This homeowner in Cohasset, MA contacted us because his sump pump was not keeping up. He wanted a solution that would keep his whole basement dry. Along with a full perimeter system and an additional sump pump liner in another corner of the basement, we upgraded his existing sump to a SuperSump. We also hooked up his generic dehumidifier to be drained to this sump. His Sedona is draining to the other sump across the room.

A very common concern we hear is about fieldstone foundations in basements, like this one in Cohasset, MA. The stone and concrete combination usually has a hard time holding up against water so those problems are not uncommon in fieldstone basements. Our solution for those leaking walls is Waterguard around the perimeter with CleanSpace on the walls. While the Waterguard collects any leakage, the CleanSpace keeps the water seeping through from getting into the basement and directs it right into the drainage system. The CleanSpace also keeps out pests and prevents any mold growth from happening on those walls, and not to mention a much cleaner look to the basement.

A partially finished basement in Cohasset, MA began taking on water and the homeowners were noticing a lingering dampness. Without knowing what was causing the issue or where it was located, the homeowners reached out to DryZone Basement Systems to help pinpoint what was happening. Our inspector, Nick, went out to the home and located the issue. Upon his recommendation, a TripleSafe sump pump was installed in their basement to help get any water in, pumped up and away from their home so that it won't filter back in. And because it's equipped with a 1/3 horsepower, a 1/2 horsepower, and a third battery powered backup pump - they are well protected in several situations from the risk of pump failure!
A homeowner in Cohasset, MA wanted to keep his unfinished basement dry for years to come. He didn't own a sump pump so one of our inspectors visited his home to educate and discuss our best solutions. The inspector proposed to install a TripleSafe sump pump and place CleanSpace Wall vapor barrier onto the interior walls. To help collect the water seepage, a WaterGuard interior drainage system will be installed on the interior perimeter.
This was a very promising proposal, and the homeowner agreed. Our production team then got the blueprints to the plan and began their work! They started off jackhammering a trench for the WaterGuard to be placed in. Then, they opened up the floor more to make room for the TripleSafe sump pump, our 3-pump system that keeps basements dry during heavy rains and power outages. Once those were in place, they lined up the walls with CleanSpace to help prevent moisture intrusion.
Ever since the installation was done, the homeowner has been happy that his basement remained dry ever since we serviced it!
This homeowner in Cohasset, MA was nervous about his dining room floor above his crawl space. It was sagging down which made him call us for help. Our inspector visited his home to look through his crawl space; From there, he observed high humidity and rotten floor support within this area. The inspector knew the exact solution that would stabilize the floor and lower the humidity. He proposed that we install our SmartJack floor support systems under the weakened floor beam to raise the structure back to its correct level. Additionally, we would wrap the floor up in CleanSpace vapor barrier to keep the moisture out. The homeowner came to an agreement to this job which resulted in a cleaner, more safe crawl space for him to enjoy!

A customer in Cohasset, MA contacted our appointment center because he wanted to replace his old sump pump. The issue was that his sump pump would constantly run, causing it to eventually burn out from overworking. Although the motor was strong enough to move water, it was no use anymore after constantly running without stopping or taking a break. Our inspector went to the customer's home to evaluate the situation more in depth so he could provide the best solution for the basement. Afterwards, the inspector told the customer that we could swap out with our TripleSafe sump pump. Eventually, our production team came in to install the TripleSafe near the old sump pump, so they made a new sump pit that is bigger! This customer in Cohasset, MA found us online and wanted to explore a vapor barrier for his basement. His basement wasn't in terrible condition, but it did feel humid in there. When our inspector visited his home, he informed the homeowner that moisture was causing the humidity in the basement, so he suggested that we install CleanSpace wall vapor barrier along with a SaniDry Sedona dehumidifier. We got the green light to install, and our production crew lined up the walls with CleanSpace to prevent moisture from getting in. The SaniDry Sedona will take away water from the air, decreasing the moisture and humidity! This homeowner felt very pleased with our work because his basement was easier to breathe in.
Chris N. in Cohasset, Massachusetts contacted DryZone after researching companies on Angie's List. He had purchased a home that had a small section of basement with a fieldstone foundation. It connected to the new, poured concrete basement. Like many homes in the area, the house also had a fieldstone crawlspace.
Chris had concerns about the structural intergrity of the lally columns in the basement and crawlspace. He was looking to have the rotting fiberglass insulation removed and replaced with a better solution, such as spray foam. He wanted a dehumidifier, encapsulation and a battery back up for the existing sump pump.
Sam Crowley went out to inspect the basement and crawlspace and develop a solution. We encapulated the crawlspace with a 20 mil vapor barrier called CleanSpace after removing the debris from the fiberglass insulation. On the basement side, we installed our WaterGuard drain system to carry the water to a SuperSump. We also replaced an existing sump pump with another SuperSump for extra protection. The SaniDry Sedona was set up to drain into the new sump. This unit can dehumidify a crawlspace or a full basement and can remove up to 100 pints of water an hour! DryZone and the installation crew, lead by Steve DaSilva, installed a SmartJack to stabilize the lally columns that were compromised. There was also a leaking crack that was repaired with FlexiSpan. Finally. our spray foam technician. Matt Bezarro, came in to spray the rim joists with the foam solution.
Chris is extremely happy with the results in his new home, all of his issues were addressed and he is ready to enjoy his new investment!
