Job Stories From Block Island, RI
Sump Pumpless Basement In New Shoreham, RI
A homeowner from New Shoreham, RI lives in an area where water is very abundant. The water surrounding her house has been creeping through the foundation walls more since there were more rainstorms than usual. The biggest issue was that there's no sump pump to discharge any of the water! To solve this issue, the homeowner contacted us as soon as she could. We sent over an inspector to look at the source of the issue. He saw lots of water just sitting in her basement untouched. So he had our production crew install a TripleSafe sump pump at the lowest spot in the basement since water will naturally flow in that direction. This sump pump comes with a three-pump system that adjusts automatically to meet the pumping requirements! Now, this homeowner can live peacefully knowing she has a very reliable sump pump!
Block Island, RI Dehumidification
Robin called DryZone because her second home in Block Island, RI was having some humidity issues in the basement and she wanted to be able to use the space without worrying about her belongings getting damaged or moldy. She had seen our trucks while we went to the island to do services and wanted to get on our radar for the next time we were there for a free estimate.
At the estimate, James used his trusty hygrometer to read the humidity in the basement and saw it was reading a shocking 80%! He let Robin know that was very high and he seriously recommended a SaniDry dehumidifier to help get that to a reasonable level. After some discussion about the details of the system, she knew she wanted that in her home and wanted to go through with installing the system. A great part of the SaniDrys is that they are self-draining systems and could empty right into her pump without someone needing to be there to empty it each day.
