Foundation Repair Photo Album: Upgrading a Crawl Space's Structural Support in Narragansett, RI
This homeowner in Narragansett, RI had a sagging floor issue above his crawl space. A portion of the living room floor was a bit bouncy, so one of our inspectors visited the home to enter the crawl space to determine the best solution. During the look through, the inspector noticed how humid it felt in the crawl space and made note of it. After a close examination, the inspector proposed to do a whole crawl space repair job. This included installing SmartJack floor support systems under the sagging floor. To deal with the humidity, he suggested a full encapsulation of CleanSpace vapor barrier and SilverGlo wall insulation to keep the air dry and maintained at a constant temperature all year long.

After The Installation
This crawl space looks brighter, cleaner and safer! The SmartJacks were installed strategically under the main beam to raise the floor back to the correct level. To lower the humidity, we fully wrapped the area with CleanSpace vapor barrier and installed a SaniDry Sedona dehumidifier.
