Sagging Floor Solution in Warwick, RI
Challenge
This customer in Warwick, RI wanted to reverse the sagging floor above his crawl space. The humidity was too high which caused the wooden support beam to weaken. When areas become too humid, the chances of mold growth, musty odors and structural damages become increasingly high. We sent over one of our inspectors to assess the crawl space and propose a solution. The solution that was drawn up was to fully encapsulate this crawl space with CleanSpace vapor barrier to lower the humidity and installed SmartJack floor support systems to raise the floor back to stabilize it. After discussing the details, this was the solution that the customer felt would erase his issues for good.
Solution
To begin the process, our production team first cleaned out any debris laying around and then began to install the SmartJacks! To do so, they made a small footing in the floor to anchor the system in place, then they adjusted the steel piers until the floor was leveled out again! After, they rolled out CleanSpace onto the floor to prevent moisture intrusion. Once everything was set and done, the customer noticed the immediate impact our SmartJacks made, and he was thankful that his floor and crawl space have been restored!
