Leveling Out a Sagging Floor in Clinton, MA
Challenge
This homeowner living in Clinton, MA noticed one of his floors squeaking whenever his foot made contact with the floor. He called us because he wanted to level out this floor and not worry about it anymore. When floors begin to squeak or feel uneven, it's best to have a professional take a look to see if it's a serious area of concern.
When our inspector arrived to the basement, he took measurements of the floor, took pictures of the weakened support beam and made his final proposal. He proposed to the homeowner of installing SmartJack floor support systems under the sagging floor to provide permanent support and the lift it needed to be back at its original level. Once the details were set, the homeowner looked it over on paper and agreed!
Solution
Our production team began the transformation by cutting the SmartJacks to the correct length. Then they made a small footing for each SmartJack to be secured in. After, the team carefully raised the floor by twisting our floor support system. And sooner than later, the floor was back to the correct position. In addition, it felt way more sturdy than it had before.
Our SmartJacks provide the ability to be adjusted in case there's movement within the house. We can always come back and tweak each SmartJack if the homeowner wants. These will never corrode all thanks to the galvanized steel they are made of, making this a long lasting solution for this homeowner!
