Lifting a Sinking Foundation to The Correct Level in Watertown, MA

This homeowner's concrete foundation was sinking in Watertown, MA. He wanted to prevent future structural damages, so he called us for a foundation repair solution. When foundations sink, it can come with a plethora of issues such as huge foundation wall cracks, doors and windows not fitting into their frames and uneven floors. 

One of our inspectors showed up to the home to take a thorough look at this foundation and took precise measurements. Once that was set, the inspector proposed to stabilize this sinking foundation by installing our steel PushPiers around the home. In addition, the option to then lift the foundation was proposed as well. The homeowner thought about the peace of mind and decided to go ahead with the lift also. 

Solution

The production team arrived weeks later with a helping attitude! They began by excavating the soil around the home to gain access to the bottom of the foundation. This is so they can install metal brackets at each vital point at the footing of this home. In each bracket, the team drove steel piers into the ground using hydraulic force until they reached bedrock. From there, the brackets were connected to a hydraulic machine where the crew was able to stabilize and lift the foundation to its original level. After the job was done, the homeowner was ecstatic about his home being saved. This is a home he wants to own for the rest of his life, and now he's glad he has a permanent foundation solution!
