Repairing a Bowing Basement Wall in Florence, MA
Challenge
A basement wall in Florence, MA was showing signs of severe damages. The wall was beginning to bow in which left alarming foundation cracks on the wall. These cracks can cause unwanted damage to the structural integrity of this home, and he wanted to prevent the wall from bowing in even more! He contacted us after seeing our PowerBrace video and was intrigued on how sturdy the system looked. We were able to set up an appointment to have one of our inspectors visit the homeowner to discuss the best solution.
Solution
Upon the arrival, the inspector thoroughly looked through this basement. Once he observed the wall with a critical eye, he proposed to install PowerBraces to stabilize this failing wall. The homeowner agreed to the job knowing this will erase all of his worries.
Our production team arrived to begin the process. They drilled the steel I-beams of each system into the ground and anchored each onto the wall. The top portion of the beam was then attached to the floor joists above to create the perfect frame to prevent future bowing. Now, this home is in safer hands all thanks to our PowerBrace installation!
