Dealing with Bowing Basement Walls in Millbury, MA
Challenge
The pressure of the soil around this home in Millbury, MA was too much for the basement walls to handle, causing the walls to bow in. The homeowner was concerned about the structural integrity of his home knowing a possible collapse may occur. He wanted to reverse the damage so he reached out to us for a wall repair job.
Solution
When one of our inspectors arrived to the sight, he took pictures of the walls bowing in. It started to leave foundation cracks that were letting in moisture and water! To put a halt to these walls, the inspector had our production team install PowerBraces. These steel beams were custom-fitted to the homeowners basement walls and secured on by a bracket. Once the system was in place, the walls no longer bowed in giving this homeowner a peace of mind. And due to our PowerBrace's unique design, we can tighten this over time to potentially reverse the wall failure!
