Sagging Floors Raised Back to Place in Three Rivers, MA
Challenge
A homeowner out in Three Rivers, MA was felt a strange indent in his kitchen floor. Whenever he walked by, it was hard not to ignore it. He then decided to call our company because we offer foundation support work. He told or appointment center that the floor above his basement was sagging downwards and was looking to permanently stabilize the floor. Any floor that show signs of sagging, it can lead to a collapse if left untreated which could harm or injure somebody. Not only that, the cost to repair the damages would not be very generous. We wanted to make sure this homeowner's floor wouldn't sag anymore, so we began our process and sent out one of our systems design specialist to draw up a solution!
Solution
Once the specialist reached the house, he inspected the floor joists that were supporting the sagging floor. He noted that there was some rot, causing the joists to weaken. He suggested to the homeowner that our SmartJack floor support system will permanently stabilize the floor, along with the ability to adjust it as time goes. The homeowner couldn't say no, and told us to proceed with the job!
The production team worked quickly to install several of these strong, steel piers to go under the weakened floor support. At the top of each pier, we can twist it to adjust the SmartJack in case of any future movements in the foundation.
