Sagging Floor Joist in Plainfield, MA

Challenge
A homeowner was cleaning his kitchen one day when he noticed a part of the floor was sagging down. This alerted him immediately, as he didn't want to experience a collapsed floor. He called us in a hurry, and our inspector assessed the floor joist to write up an estimate. Once the assessment was done, the inspector wrote out a plan to install SmartJacks under the weakened floor joist to raise it back up to the correct level.
Solution
Once the production team arrived, they placed several earth plates onto the dirt floor, inserted the SmartJacks onto them and raised the joist back up. The homeowner was very happy to know that these are an adjustable solution, giving him a peace of mind.
