Garage Crack Repair in Bolton, MA

Challenge

Thinking your home's foundation is cracked, sinking or otherwise in jeopardy must be one of the most angst ridden feelings while being a homeowner. The prospective damage could be absolutely massive- we all have seen HGTV and how one crack doesn't mean a thing but another crack means a whole lot of work, which can be quite a blow to an unsuspecting homeowner. When we heard from this local customer, we knew we needed to get over right away- as with all customers we know your concerns are real and we take them seriously. He told us his garage foundation was cracked and pulling apart. We had all sorts of concerns in our minds as to how great a magnitude are we talking here. So we went to the home to investigate and correct this issue before anything worse happens.

Solution

When we arrived we were met with three large cracks in his garage. One was on the back wall, another near the corner of the back and side wall, and the final crack was near the middle of the opposite wall. So three of the four walls of this garage had a crack that wasn't just a crack that can be ignored without consequence. So, it was up to us to fix this concrete garage and help prevent future issues as best we know how.

We installed five Geo-Lock Wall Anchors along the back of the garage using a 12"x28" support and a 26"x26" on the exterior. Our Hide-A-Way Anchor covers usually are a must have to conceal the plates. It was our goal to dig an interior trench, remove and replace all concrete in order to do the job well, and straighten the foundation walls.
