Crawl Space Repair Photo Album: Waterproofing a West Basement in Coventry, RI
This basement in Coventry, RI already owns a dehumidifier and a sump pump, but that still was not solving the water issue that this homeowner's been dealing with. When water sits in basements, it creates a damp environment that mold grows in. To prevent this, we installed a WaterGuard interior drainage system to sit inside the whole perimeter and collect any floor and wall seepage. This drainage system was then connected to the sump pump so that all the water can finally be discharged. In addition, we placed CleanSpace wall vapor barrier on the walls to stop moisture from entering!
Opened Up System
The production crew did a fantastic job at installing the WaterGuard interior drainage system. This non-clogging drainage system sits inside the whole perimeter, collecting and channeling water to the sump pump.
Concrete Over the System
To finish the WaterGuard job, we poured fresh concrete over to cover the trench!
