Crawl Space Repair Photo Album: Canton, MA Crawlspace Sealing
The owners of this Canton, MA home were worried about their crawlspace. It was allowing cold air and moisture in as well as becoming a potential home for rodents. To best address those issues, our inspector suggested encapsulating the space and insulating, that way all the heat would stay in and moisture would stay out. Also the space would be sealed so no rodents finding their way in. Using SilverGlo and Rim Joist insulation and CleanSpace vapor barrier, the homeowners were able to get what they needed and wanted for the space!
Liner Sealing the Space
The CleanSpace liner is so strong, rodents have no chance chewing through!
Insulated Space
The shiny boards on the crawlspace wall is the SilverGlo insulation. Its the tiny graphite particles that give it the silver/gray shine and reflects heat back in.
Sealed Inside and Out
We sealed the inside, but the opening has to be sealed too to make sure its all covered. Our removable Everlast doors provide a tight seal but can be removed for assess into the crawlspace.
