Wet Crawlspace
The fiberglass insulation was so wet and heavy it was literally falling from the joists
Cinder Block
Cinder block is made of porous concrete. You can see the water stains at the bottom of this foundation wall
Wet spots
The wet spots of the foundation walls show that this crawlspace is no stranger to floods!
Gross
Can you imagine what it smells like in this crawlspace?
Wet Insulation
The weight of the soaking fiberglass insulation causes the material to fall from the joists and sit in the puddles on the crawlspace floor to grow mold
Total Transformation
Once the debris is removed, the crawlspace is unrecognizable!
Wrap Piers
All piers are wrapped with CleanSpace
No Partial Crawlspaces
The goal of encapsulating a crawlspace is to separate the home from the earth. This is why partially treating a crawlspace is not an option that will produce results.
Rim Joist Sealing
The rim joists are sprayed with our spray foam which expands in the joists. It seals the crawlspace from any outside air that can come in through the rim joists.
CleanSpace
The CleanSpace covers the ground and walls. It is a 20 mil plastic vapor barrier
TripleSafe
Given the amount of water in the crawlspace prior to our installation, a TripleSafe was a great idea for this home in Scituate, MA!
IceGuard Installation in Progress
A TripleSafe requires two IceGuards. One of them is shown here.
