Crawl Space in Barrington, Rhode Island

Challenge

The home owner was fairly new to the property her in Barrington. There were three small crawl spaces under the home that were all having problems. Each crawl area had a moisture problem and when it rained hard a few of them would puddle with water. In some major storms the crawlspaces have flooded. The home owner was told by the previous owner that this was an issue. They contacted DryZone Basement Systems for a free estimate and met with our system design specialist.

Solution

Our system design specialist Tim Dagen met with the home owner and inspected the three crawl spaces thoroughly. He found each of the crawl spaces were humid and full of moisture. Tim could also see evidence of water damage. The solution to this crawl space water and moisture problem was to add a vapor barrier, drainage matting and dehumidifer with condensation pump. Our system was installed soon after the proposal.

The SaniDry CX is the blue box shown here in the 4 foot crawl. This will take care of the moisture in the crawl spaces and it is a self draining unit.

Shown here is the CleanSpace product wrapping each wall and floor. The CleanSpace vapor barrier is covering the drainage mat on the floor which will guide the water out of the crawl.
