Turing a Humid Crawl Space into a Dry Environment in Jamestown, RI
Challenge
A customer from Jamestown, RI was experiencing significant issues with his crawl space such as high humidity, mold growth and poor insulation. Due to these conditions, the musty air had given off a smell no human feels comfortable with. The indoor air quality was very poor in this area, so our team proposed a solution to execute a crawl space encapsulation that included CleanSpace vapor barrier, a SaniDry Sedona dehumidifier, SilverGlo wall insulation and a TripleSafe sump pump.
Solution
Upon the day of the installation, our production crew installed the CleanSpace water vapor barrier by covering the floor. Next, they plugged in the SaniDry Sedona, our highly efficient and self-draining dehumidifier to dry out the air. Next, we installed the TripleSafe sump pump system, our reliable system that includes a primary pump, secondary pump and a battery backup pump for continuous operation during a power outage. Finally, we lined the interior walls with SilverGlo wall insulation to help maintain consistent temperatures and reduce the energy costs.
Once the transformation was complete, this crawl space was now clean, dry and well-insulated!
