Humid Crawl Space Solution in Middleboro, Ma
Challenge
A customer called our appointment center complaining about his crawl space. It had become a humid environment due to the excess moisture seeping in though the cold ground. Whenever crawl spaces become too humid, issues such as mold growth, musty odors and allergies can arise. This customer didn't want to risk the health of his family and the structural integrity of his home, so he relied on us for a reliable solution!
Solution
Our inspector arrived to the customer's home to begin the process. The inspector measured the relative humidity, took measurements of the crawl spaces dimensions and observed several spots of mold spores on the wooden floor beams. From this observation, the inspector proposed that our production team encapsulates this crawl space with CleanSpace vapor barrier. This will prevent any moisture intrusion, which will lower the risk of mold, smells and allergies. The customer agreed and our crew arrived weeks later to begin the installation.
To begin, the crew prepped the area by cleaning out any dirt, debris and old insulation. After, the crew laid out a drainage matting to allow any water to drain evenly. After, the crew wrapped up the entire floor with CleanSpace vapor barrier. Once the installation was complete, the customer was impressed at how temperature controlled his crawl space felt. The air didn't feel as musty and he was able to breathe easier!
