Cold Crawlspace In West Wareham, MA
Challenge
There was a customer in West Wareham, MA that wanted to fix his dirt crawlspace. It was a two foot high crawlspace and told our appointment center that he had insulation that was falling apart. Torn up insulation not only makes the crawlspace look less appealing, but it can also hold in moisture coming in from the outside environment. And when moisture makes its way into a basement, it can spread musty odors and mold. We sent over an inspector to write up the best solution that will transform this cold crawlspace.
Solution
Once the inspector had a full look at the crawlspace, he wrote a proposal to install CleanSpace vapor barrier onto the floor along with some drainage mattings, a SaniDry Sedona dehumidifier to get rid of water vapor in the air and SilverGlo wall insulation. The main focus was getting rid of the debris and replacing it with out reflective heat barrier known as the SilverGlo. This will help the customer save money on heating bills and will warm up the crawlspace he once saw as a cold, dark place!
