Crawl Space Foundation Repair in Harvard, MA
Challenge
A homeowner in Harvard, MA contacted us to evaluate a solution for their crawl space that has sloping floors from what they believe is due to an inadequate support beam in the center of the crawl space.
Solution
Our System Design Specialist Tyler Damon met with this particular homeowner and provided a custom solution. Our team will need to install a supplemental beam and some SmartJack supports to support the floor joist system above it. The supplemental beam will measure 64 ft and the project will need 12 SmartJacks.
What exactly is a SmartJack? Well, this customer had it right about the lack of a good beam and support so we need SmartJacks to stop the settling and raise back to normal the once sagging floor. In essence, these are piers to stabilize the crawl space. This is a permanent fix and one that a crawl space in this condition absolutely needs.
