WaterGuard in the Trench
This picture shows WaterGuard installed on new, clean crushed stone after jack-hammering a trench along the perimeter of the basement floor. The tape around the WaterGuard port keeps concrete from getting into the system when the new concrete is installed. The WaterGuard port is used to inspect the system during annual maintenance.
SuperSump
The crew digs a hole for the new sump pump liner and SuperSump pump system. The discharge line is run up and out of the house to expel water outside. In this photo, you can see the WaterGuard leading to the SuperSump. Because only one pump was installed at this time, a small piece of PVC pipe with a cap was installed in the hole available when a second pump is installed. This maintains an air tight sump pump system.
Flood Test
Before the final concrete is installed inside, all systems are flood tested during installation to ensure the pumps are working properly and there are no leaks in the discharge line. This picture shows the water coming from the house and through the IceGuard on the exterior of the home. From here, the water follows an underground discharge line to keep it away from the foundation.
