Sump Location
The sump location was determined prior to the installation, at the initial inspection. It is always in the low spot of the basement because water flows downhill!
Water Stains
Does this basement look familiar? There are water stains all over the place!
Evidence of Water
The white stains on the floor are called efflorescence. It is caused when water evaporates and leave minerals behind on the concrete. If you see this on the floors or walls it means there has been water there!!

Artery Line
If water is coming up through the middle of the floor, sometimes an artery line is needed that will carry water from the middle of the floor towards the perimeter and into the sump pump.
Discharge
The water exits the house and is discharged into the yard.
