minor demolition started the process
Jackhammer the base of the crack to create a drywell that the water can drain to
Close up of the dry well
This will be filled in with crushed stone with the exception of a small gap and re-concreted
The crack is injected with a sealant
The crack is injected with a sealant and covered with a foam layer that creates a space for water to flow down the wall and into the drywell. Any water that manages to make it past the first layer of sealant would be redirected with this foam strip. It's essentially a second line of defense!
foam layer was added to redirect water
A coat of a special sealant is applied over the FlexiSpan foam strip which creates a sealed patch from the top of the crack to the bottom.
Additional Protection
This customer opted for an additional layer of defense (even though we offer a lifetime warranty on our FlexiSpan crack repairs) They wanted to have a strip of CleanSpace to cover the crack. Even though this step is not necessary, it gave the customer added peace of mind.
