Scituate Fieldstone Basement is Kept Dry

Challenge

A few months previous to installing a WaterGuard and a sump pump system our system design specialist first suggested a SaniDry dehumidifer. The customer wanted to see if that would solve the water problem completely. The customers foundation was made of old fieldstone and was leaking water. It would run down the stone walls and cause foudation and humidity problems. The SaniDry did help the air quality however, it did not stop the water from entering the basement. Water was still an issue and the customer called us back for another suggestion.

Solution

Our system design specialist, Dan, came up with a solution of 40 feet of WaterGuard and a sump pump with a back up battery. This was the perfect solution to the water running down their fieldstone foundation. The guard drain was around the perimeter inside the basement and it leads the water to the pump. The water is discharged outside of the home and has not been a problem again.
