Basement Waterproofing in Medway, MA

Challenge

This homeowner in Medway, MA was dealing with a lot of water entering their basement. Their basement was fairly large and divided into two parts, the smaller area has a door that leads outside. They had been having issues with water for a while so they already had two sump pumps in place, but they called us looking for a more reliable system. Our inspector, Dave, took a look during the free estimate and came up with a solution that would keep the entire basement dry. On installation day, our foreman, Tomas, and his crew were ready to get to work and make Dave's plan to waterproof this basement come to fruition.

Solution

The first step the crew took was removing the existing sump pumps and deciding whether or not to use the same locations or change them. In the smaller area of the basement, the SuperSump Plus was installed in the previous sump pump's place and our WaterGuard drainage system was installed around the perimeter of the floor in that area. In front of the door that lead outside, the TrenchDrain grated basement drain was installed to capture excess water. In the main part of the basement, the crew decided to change the sump pump's location, so they filled in the now empty hole with fresh concrete and installed our TripleSafe sump pump in a better suited area. WaterGuard was also installed in the perimeter of the floor where the TripleSafe was installed. Outside of the home, the IceGuard discharge line system was set up to make sure that no water would be forced back into the basement because of a potentially clogged or frozen discharge line. Now the homeowner can feel much more confident in their basement waterproofing system.
