Finished East Greenwich, RI Basement is Waterproofed
Challenge
In East Greenwich, RI, these homeowners noticed DryZone Basement Systems at the top of a Google search for help with their wet, finished basement. To their knowledge, they believed the water to be seeping up through the foundation floor and along the edges. It was ruining their finished basement, carpets and walls, and they were tired of dealing with the issue. After inquiring with DryZone online, Ken in our Appointment Center reached out to help get some more information about the issues, and schedule a free written estimate and inspection with our certified waterproofing inspector, Trevor. When he went out for this appointment, Trevor confirmed the point of entry for the water through the foundation was coming up through the floor/wall joint along one edge (evidence of staining and moisture confirmed this). He began mapping out the solution to discuss with the homeowners.
Solution
Trevor knew that at the very least, our WaterGuard drainage system would need to extend along one particular wall where he knew water to be entering through. With our professional crew, led by lead foremand Tomas, installing the WaterGuard system would help catch the water coming up through the floor/wall joint there and would be able to carry it over to our SuperSump Plus unit. Determining the lowest spot in the basement to install this SuperSump Plus would be crucial, which is why we never charge to have our inspectors determine where and what will be the best solution - because truly every basement is different. Lastly, deciding on the best discrete location for the exterior discharge, Trevor and the homeowners agreed that carrying it out 30 feet into the yard and installing our LawnScape Well would be the best solution, as this would disperse the water draining from the basement into the yard without causing major flooding. These homeowners put a lot of trust into DryZone Basement Systems and we know they will come to love their system as their basement stays dry during future potential flooding situations!
