Waterproofing & Crawlspace Makeover in Johnston, RI
Challenge
This wet basement in Johnston, RI needed some attention, as well as the crawlspace beside it. As the location of a local business, it was important to the property owners that their basement and crawlspace areas remained dry - as they needed it for storage for some of their marketing and advertising items. There were multiple sources of water leaking into the basement: through cracks in the foundation, up through the floor, and also where the foundation seams met around an old chimney. With several points of entry, it was important that they call in a team of trusted professionals to help ensure their investments were protected.
Solution
Being familiar with the area, DryZone was comfortable and ready to help tackle these concerns. Our team recommended and installed our CleanSpace Wall basement vapor barrier, our WaterGuard sub-floor drain system, and our SuperSump Plus sump pump system to help keep this basement dry. And in the shared crawlspace area, they installed our CleanSpace crawlspace encapsulation system, with our drainage matting beneath to create an extra barrier between moisture rising up from the dirt floor of the crawlspace and the vapor barrier above that seals it out! This 1930's building is now well protected on both fronts from moisture and water seepage, and has regained usable space in their basement & crawlspace as a result of working with DryZone!
