Waterproofing System Overhaul in Orleans, MA
Challenge
Last winter, this homeowner reached out to DryZone to help provide a full evaluation on her wet basement in Orleans, MA. She had been experiencing issues for a long time, noticing that water was coming up through the floor. They had an older sump pump in place, but were looking to at least upgrade that system, and find out what else could be done to fully waterproof their basement and ensure that it would stay dry.
Solution
Our inspector, Trevor, recommended installing our WaterGuard drain system along the perimeter walls of the basement, to help catch and carry water over to a new sump pump. Our SuperSump Plus sump pump system was installed in the spot in their basement were it would be most effective - to capture and pump out water entering through the floor and from our WaterGuard system. Our grated TrenchDrain system was installed near the basement entryway, as the open grate on the top makes it most effective for capturing water that may have been entering through the stairway entry. Altogether, they are well equipped for any future storm with all the right tools to ensure a dry basement!
