Preparing a Wet Basement in Coventry, RI to be Finished
Challenge
This homeowner in Coventry, RI had only recently began noticing issues with water and flooding in her basement a few months before she reached out to DryZone Basement Systems. When scheduling her appointment with our Appointment Center Manager, Maureen - she mentioned that she was planning to finish her basement in the future, and would need it to be protected from these kinds of issues going forward. Maureen knew that our certified inspector, Trevor would be a great fit to help our homeowner find the perfect solution!
Solution
When Trevor arrived at the property, there was obvious evidence of moisture, staining, and even still puddles of water that had collected on the foundation floor. Upon his recommendation, our homeowner agreed to have a full perimeter WaterGuard drainage system installed, along with two of our TripleSafe sump pump systems: equipped with Zoeller primary and secondary pumps, and tertiary UltraSump battery back up pumps - these two pumping stations are well equipped to handle any potential water issues. In addition to those, our CleanSpace vapor barrier system was installed to help prevent leakage of water and radon gas, as well as installed beneath the oil tank - to help protect their soon to be finished basement from any potential leaks!
