Keeping a Finished Basement Dry in Exeter, RI
Challenge
A customer in Exeter, RI was having an issue with his finished basement. He kept seeing water seep through the walls which made him think of the worst case scenario. He feared that his nicely finished basement would all get ruined if a flood were to happen. Not owning a sump pump didn't help with his anxiety either, so he called us for a reliable solution.
After explaining his issue to our appointment center, we scheduled one of our inspectors to visit this home and deliver a proposal. This is a crucial step in our process because this is where we're able to understand the customer's needs directly and follow up with a solution that's catered to their problem. The solution that was proposed was an installation of our TripleSafe sump pump, CleanSpace Wall Vapor barrier and a full perimeter WaterGuard interior drainage system.
After answering all the questions about the solution, the customer gave the green light to proceed with the job.
Solution
Our production crew arrived weeks later to begin the waterproofing transformation! They began by jackhammering a trench along the interior perimeter for the WaterGuard drainage system. This system is perfectly designed to collect the water seeping through the walls right before it touches the ground. Once that was in place, they proceeded to install the TripleSafe sump in the basement's closet to pump out all of the collected water. To help maintain a comfortable humidity level in this crawl space, we installed CleanSpace Wall vapor barrier onto the interior walls to prevent moisture from seeping in. When moisture get's too abundant in a basement, it can create a musty, humid environment that can lead to mold growth. With CleanSpace, none of that will occur!
After the installation was complete, this customer felt relived with his dry basement. He won't have to worry about the integrity of his basement all year long with our waterproofing system!
