Basement Waterproofing Solution in Fiskdale, MA
Challenge
This customer from Fiskdale, MA was tired of getting rid of water in his basement using a shop vaccuum. He knew that a severe rainstorm would cause even worse problems that a vacuum couldn't solve. He wanted to prepare his basement for the harsh weather in order to keep it dry all year long.
He called us for an estimate on a waterproofing job. In response, we scheduled one of our inspectors to visit the home and propose a solution that is catered to this basement. After the inspection, his proposal included a TripleSafe sump pump, WaterGuard interior drainage system and CleanSpace Wall vapor barrier. Once the details were confirmed and agreed upon, our production team arrived weeks later to begin the transformation.
Solution
The production crew started off by making a trench for the WaterGuard that lies in the interior perimeter of this basement floor. Now that the drainage system was installed, it was time to integrate it with our TripleSafe sump pump! The crew made the sump pit, placed the liner in, and followed it up with the primary, secondary and battery backup pump. These 3 pumps provide more pumping power and reliability than any sump pump system on the market, so it was a very good choice to install this. Lastly, the crew carefully lined up the interior walls with CleanSpace to protect this basement from moisture intrusion. With less moisture getting in, the chances of mold growth, questionable odors and structural damage decreased.
Once the job was complete, this customer was impressed at the cleanliness and organization of his basement. He was glad to know that his basement will remain bone-dry for years to come!
