Water Seepage Issue in Walpole, MA

Challenge

This homeowner of this unfinished basement in Walpole, MA was frustrated with the amount of water seepage in through his basement walls. The basement walls had several small cracks that was allowing water to pass right through, which led to some water damage on the floor. If water gets abundant in a basement, it can not only cause more water damage, but increases the risk of mold growth which is detrimental to any homeowner. When mold begins to grow, it can weaken any wooden support structures in the basement, so the homeowner called us for a waterproofing solution. He didn't want to risk his home to become an unhealthy sanctuary full of mold spores and strange odors, so we sent out one of our inspectors to carefully assess his basement and draw up a waterproofing solution. 

Solution

When the inspector arrived on scene, he took a look at the leaking areas of this basement. The inspector knew that this basement needed a sump pump and a drainage system to ensure that this basement stays dry all year long. He suggested an installation of a TripleSafe sump pump and a WaterGuard interior drainage system to work in unison! The homeowner learned how reliable our TripleSafe and WaterGuard were at collecting the water and discharging it at high volumes and agreed to the job!

Our production team members were able to jackhammer a whole interior trench that ran along the inside of the basement for the WaterGuard to be placed in. This will make sure no water reaches the floor, then they jackhammered a sump pit for the TripleSafe sump pump at the lowest spot in the floor. Once both systems were in place, they poured fresh concrete over to finish the job. The homeowner was amazed at how clean and dry his basement was after we finished the installation. He was relieved to finally have a trusty sump pump working by his side.
