Challenge
When a homeowner in Cumberland, RI experienced a recent flood in his basement, he knew he needed professional help to prevent this from occurring twice! Not owning a sump pump or drainage system costed this homeowner several lost items from water damage. Solution
After discussing a reliable solution, the homeowner told the inspector to proceed with the job. There was no way this homeowner was going to vacuum out water in his basement ever again and we made sure of that! The plan included a full perimeter WaterGuard interior drainage system, a TripleSafe sump pump and CleanSpace wall vapor barrier.
Our production team took a look at the blue sheet created by the inspector and gathered their materials. Once they arrived, they began by creating an interior channel to place the WaterGuard in. After, they jackhammered a sump pit to place the TripleSafe sump pump system in that will provide enough pumping power to fight off heavy rains and power shortages due to the backup battery pump. After, the crew lined up the interior walls with CleanSpace vapor barrier to prevent outside moisture from impeding with the air in this basement.
After everything was done, the homeowner couldn't believe how different his basement looked! He was so relieved to have a sump pump and drainage system that will work together to keep his basement dry for the years to come!
