Sitting Basement Water Problem in Norton, MA
Challenge
Our appointment center received a call from a homeowner living in Norton, MA. She told us that she was seeing water sitting in her basement, as her basement is one to always leak in water. Her main dilemma, she didn't own a sump pump, drainage system or even a dehumidifier to fight off how humid the basement was. When water and moisture get into basements, it can cause mold to grow on the wood, which is the material holding up the framing of the floor. It's best to keep the wood mold-free, so to prevent any future water and mold damage, we brought in our full waterproofing system including a SaniDry Sedona dehumidifier, CleanSpace wall vapor barrier, WaterGuard interior drainage system and a TripleSafe sump pump!
Solution
The products listed were installed by our trusty production team. To begin, they cleared off anything in the way of the basement, we had to make sure there was room to install our WaterGuard drainage system that sat inside the perimeter of this basement floor. This will collect any of the floor and wall seepage getting into this basement. This will prevent water from puddling up, and from there the water will be channeled to the TripleSafe sump pump to be discharged away! To deal with the humidity and moisture, we covered the interior walls of this basement with CleanSpace to prevent any intrusion. Lastly, the SaniDry Sedona dehumidifier was plugged in to push clean, dry air out that will lower the humidity and create a much better breathing environment!
