Full Basement Waterproofing Project
Challenge
Basement waterproofing was very much needed for this leaking foundation in Indian Orchard, MA. The customer was seeing water seeping in through the wall of his basement. Concerned, he decided to look online for waterproofing companies to successfully keep his basement dry for the future rains. Since he didn't own any sump pump or drainage system, the chances of mold growth and floods were very high. The cost to fix those damages can be a major inconvience, so by calling us, this homeowner was making a very wise decision.
To begin, we sent over one of our inspectors to investigate the basement more closely. This allows him to diagnose the issue and draw up a solution for our production team to use as a blue print.
Solution
Once the solution was drawn out, the homeowner was excited to see the transformation. In the plan, the crew installed a full perimeter WaterGuard interior drainage system to collect and channel the water. That water will be moved to the SuperSump premier pumping system they installed in the lowest spot in the basement. It's best to install sump pumps in the lowest spots so that gravity can do it's work and move the water towards the sump, with the help of our WaterGuard of course. The door going to the bulkhead door was puddling up a lot of water as well, so we installed a TrenchDrain to provide proper drainage for that area.
The customer was able to enjoy his basement without having to deal with the dampness and moisture lingering around!
