Challenge
Our appointment center was contacted by this homeowner from Roxbury Crossing, MA who was having issues with water in his basement. He was pretty sure that the water was entering the basement from the flood, and has spent several nights removing water form his basement after numerous rainstorms. For homeowners that don't own a waterproofing system for their basement, a lot of problems could happen such as moisture getting in causing mold growth, water damages to the structure or even floods! So it was time for our inspector to provide the best solution for this homeowner!
Solution
The inspector and the homeowner developed a plan to suit his individual needs. We installed a TripleSafe sump pump, a WaterGuard interior drainage system and a SaniDry Sedona dehumidifier. Now, there is a proper sub-floor drainage system that will collect the water coming in, and then be moved towards the TripleSafe for it all to be discharged away from the basement. The Sedona will keep the relative humidity low, which is crucial for basement health.
