Sump Pump Failure In Berlin, MA
Challenge
A customer in Berlin, MA was having several issues with his sump pump at the time. The float switch was getting stuck very often, it wouldn't pump water at times and the sump pit was too small. All three of these issues caused several floods to happen, which was an inconvenience for the customer. The more water getting in means more moisture, which is the route cause to mold growth. This mold can be dangerous for the the family and the house, so upgrading the sump pump would be a very wise decision. Our inspector was sent to the home so he could discuss the best options for this problem.
Solution
After discussing which sump pump would be the best replacement, all eyes were on the TripleSafe sump pump. The customer was very attracted to the idea that we perform maintenance checks to ensure the longevity of the system, also liked the fact that it was simply more powerful than is old sump pump. Our production crew went to the basement to begin the installation process. They made a bigger sump pit, so more water could be held in, unlike the old sump pit. Then they placed the TripleSafe in filled the rest with crushed stone. They topped it off with fresh concrete and hooked up the discharge line from the sump pump to outside, where water will be discharged far away from the basement! This upgrade will save his basement for years to come in the future!
