Structural Concern In Attleboro, MA
Challenge
A customer from Attleboro, MA had a major concern over the structure of his crawlspace. He noticed a part of it was sagging down due to a support post that was slanted at an awkward angle. With support posts, a slight change in the angle could open up the floor for a disaster to start pouring in. If the crawlspace were to collapse, the cost for damages would be detrimental for any homeowner. To deliver a peace of mind, we began by sending over an inspector so a plan could be created!
Solution
When the inspector arrived, he made a close observation on the issue. Not only was the support post slanted, it was very rusty and was missing a few screws! This was a clear sign to the inspector that we needed to install our SmartJack floor support system! Afterwards, our production team came in to excavate a hold to place the SmartJack in, after, a stone footing is packed into place. Then they cut the steel SmartJack to the correct size and installed it under the sagging floor. The biggest advantage of installing our SmartJack is that it's adjustable! This customer felt much better after seeing how our floor support system operates.
