Crawlspace Improvement In West Dennis, MA
Challenge
This customer in West Dennis, MA started to notice concerning signs within his crawlspace. He saw a little bit of mold growing on his wooden support posts, which was a clear sign that he needed to fix this problem before it got worse. There were also puddles laying around, untouched which was bringing in moisture, which seems to be the root of the problem here. If water like that goes un touched, then don't be surprised if you see mold like this homeowner did. Mold can cause structural damage and damage your breathing air quality, so preventing moisture from entering would be the best solution. So we sent over an inspector to formulate a plan to deliver a peace of mind!
Solution
When the inspector arrived to the crawlspace, he was overwhelmed with how humid it felt down there due to all the puddles and moisture overtaking the area. To solve this, he had our production crew lay out drainage matting onto the cold ground and place CleanSpace vapor barrier all onto the floor and wooden support posts. This thick polyethylene material will do a great job at preventing moisture from entering which was causing these dilemmas. Finally, we plugged in a SaniDry Sedona dehumidifier to make dry out the air by removing water vapor in the air. Now, this crawlspace looks and feels brand new with our products installed!
