Moist Dirt Crawlspace Fixed
Challenge
We got a call from somebody in West Tisbury, MA about his crawlspace. The dirt crawlspace was 3 feet and had moisture all around. The homeowner didn't want to keep dealing with the moisture since it can cause potential issues. The moisture can lead to mold latching onto organic material and continue to grow, also, it can provide unhealthy breathing air which is not good for the people living in the house. To help the homeowner avoid these dangers, we sent over an inspector to create the best plan.
Solution
The inspector felt how cold and wet the crawlspace was and he instantly knew what he needed to do. He informed the homeowner that our production crew could cover the whole crawlspace up with CleanSpace vapor barrier. That would provide a polyethylene barrier to keep the moisture out, which was the root of the issue. In addition, they would install a SaniDry Sedona dehumidifier to remove water from the air. Both of those products seemed to be a wonderful option for the homeowner and he had the crew install them. These products are the best when it comes to fighting moisture, by installing these, you avoid mold, rot and high humidity!
