Basement Wall Crack Repair In South Dartmouth, MA
Challenge
A homeowner in South Dartmouth, MA made a call to us because he wanted to seal up a crack that was in the corner of his basement. Wall cracks can be very annoying to deal with, if the homeowner didn't try to seal this up then there's a chance the crack could grow larger. The larger the crack, the more water coming in and more water means more humidity. To avoid this issue, we sent over one of our inspectors to discuss with the homeowner about FlexiSpan wall crack repair system.
Solution
When the inspector arrived, he took a look at the corner where the crack was and agreed that the sooner it's sealed up the better. After discussing how our FlexiSpan works, the homeowner knew that was the best option. To begin, a production crew came in the jackhammer a drywell at the bottom of the crack where the wall and floor meet. After, they applied a layer of polyurethane into the crack from top to bottom, placed a foam strip layer over and put another layer of polyurethane on top. The water won't be able to get through the sealant and will be drained into the drywell. Even if it does pass through the first layer of polyurethane, the foam strip will keep the water from coming through.
